We discourage stage hogs, with an efficient rotation of two tunes per.

Jamming, the most-excellent people, a great stage, and brews, The Hybrid is the place to be and it’s free…

On the stage, in a booth, at a cafe table, or kickin' it on a couch, The Hybrid is now the place to blow, hang with friends and tip your glass, always from 5:00 to 7:30, on every month’s Second Sunday.

Located at 941 W. 3rd Avenue, Eugene, The Hybrid:

  • Is conveniently located in Eugene’s Whiteaker neighborhood, next to Territorial Vineyard’s Wine Bar, behind Equiano Coffee (with the colorful wall mural)
  • Accommodates 80 people with relaxed and casual seating
  • Has a 16’ x 16’ stage
  • Sports a P.A., stage lighting, and a sound person to maintain volume, balance and tone that are appropriate for high quality jazz performance and listening,  
  • Is totally free to all who attend… with donations gratefully accepted.
  • Oh yes, for those who imbibe, there is a full service bar.

  • Build community with other southern Willamette Valley jazz players and jazz enthusiasts.
  • John Crider, Nancy Hamilton and Steve Mosher are your Eugene Jazz Jam hosts.
  • John Crider, Nancy Hamilton, Steve Mosher and Paul Slate are your jam's initial house band.

The Eugene Jazz Jam is a truly independent group.  We are not affiliated with any academic organization, and not funded by any corporation, commercial enterprise nor governmental agency.  We remain beholden solely to the preferences and expectations of the local jazz community.
